Magenta

Giuseppe Ottaviani - Magenta LiveItallian production stalwart Giuseppe Ottaviani finally touches down with his long awaited Magenta album, that showcases both what a truly diverse and inspirational producer he is.  The man behind a colossal amount of anthems both under his real name and as Nu NRG, treats us to fifteen tracks of captivating trance music, with a series of wicked collaborations of some of the biggest names in the scene.

As with a man who has played many a live PA and produced dilligently over the years, Ottaviani is no stranger when it comes to the studio, and as expected, the production finesse on ‘Magenta’ is pristine, with emotive melodies, deep, yet enchanting kick drums and energetic percussion throughout, and some tracks cater for the higher BPM crowd, while some are near enough progressive.

Stand out moments of the album include the title track ‘Magenta’, which is a very driving collaboration with Holland’s trance supremo Ferry Corsten, and the wonderful synth laden ‘Brilliant People’ with Egyptian duo Aly & Fila, and of the vocal numbers, both the collaborations with Linnea Schossow (Stars) and Alana Aldea (Heal This Empty Heart).

This is a must check for any trance fan as it really has something for everyone.
